Celebrating Malaysia Day @ Rainforest Discovery Centre, Sepilok

Each year on September 16th, Malaysians commemorate the establishment of the Malaysian Federation (the union of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak, and Singapore) which occurred in 1963. Before, it was only celebrated in the state of Sabah but Malaysia Day has become a nationwide public holiday since 2010. For this year's Malaysia Day, the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) has invited us to open up a booth for their small scale celebration, together with Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Visitors coming from around the area were entertained with family-friendly activities provided, which includes flying Squirrel Zipline, mask colouring, and puzzle games.
