SANDAKAN DISTRICT SCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAMME (JULY 2018)
Similar to our previous Sandakan District School Outreach Programme‟s of the past, our education team organized another outreach programme for Sandakan district on July 2nd, 2018 at SMK Segaliud. This event was in cooperation with our partners in environmental awareness including Sabah Wildlife Department (SWD) and HUTAN-Kinabatangan Orangutan Conservation Programme (HUTAN-KOCP) that took place at SK Segaliud and SK Taman Rimba on July 3rd-4th 2018.
All of the scheduled activities were completed successfully and included activities such as talks from the participating agencies, exhibition booths, interactive group games and colouring activities. It is wonderful to see such enthusiasm and curiosity from the participating students related to the conservation of nature and wildlife. It is our hope that these programmes can nurture and develop more nature lovers and conservationists into the future and that we enhance and spread the awareness for not only the conservation of nature and wildlife, but also for Sun Bears. Special thanks goes out to the Sabah Wildlife Department and HUTAN-KOCP for their participation and partnership and to the school staff that were involved and that provided their utmost cooperation and hospitality.
