The need to #StayAtHome and #SocialDistancing will not stop us from celebrating the annual SUN BEAR DAY. To make it even more interesting, the celebration was brought VIRTUALLY to everyone! Facebook LIVE sessions on the Virtual Sun Bear Experience with Dr (Hon) Wong Siew Te and the winner announcement from the comforts of home .

Several competitions were started to kick-start this year's Virtual Sun Bear Day 2020, such as the Sun Bear Drawing and "Save Sun Bear" Video and Crossword which was opened to all age range and anyone from around the world to participate. An overwhelming of more than 50 entries for all of the competitions were received, and over 9.3 k viewers for the Facebook LIVE Virtual Sun Bear Experience with Papa Bear.

Sun Bear Day has always been aiming to educate and increase the awareness of the communities and especially the younger generations about the alarming threats towards the sun bear species and the roles they play in the wild. It serves as one of the platforms to spread awareness to the public by instilling knowledge on the importance of conserving the sun bears and preserving their habitats, with a variety of interesting programmes and fun activities throughout the day!
