The Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre is a joint project run by:
Sabah Wildlife Department (SWD)
is responsible for the care of the sun bears. They donated the original bear house building and assist with on-going veterinary care and support in confiscating and relocating additional captive bears when necessary.
Sabah Forestry Department (SFD)
is responsible for managing the forest reserves and have donated 5 acres of land to the project so far.
LEAP (Land Empowerment Animals People) facilitate fundraising for BSBCC, managing finances, preparing reports and fundraising proposals.
Wong Siew Te
is the Chief Executive Officer & Founder of the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. He founded the Centre in 2008 and is the drive behind the project.
