Meaning of Name: Bright (Malay)
 
History: She came from Lok Kawi Wildlife Zoo in June 2007 together with Jelita. She was 8 months old when she arrived.
 
Personality: Cerah is an intelligent, shy, cool and curious bachelorette lady-bear who tends to welcome new faces through a friendly sniff with her cute pink nose. Cerah is Jelita’s roommate and one of her life long best pals. They are inseparable! When they are not together, Cerah will start vocalizing, looking for Jelita or vice versa. Cerah is quite wary of strangers and prefers to keep her distance compared to Jelita. Her enthusiastic nature can be seen when they spend time together, breaking dead logs and walking leisurely around the forest. She loves to investigate and explore the forest. Cerah thoroughly enjoys her nap time as well. She can be seen snoozing on the tree branches, liana or forest floor, and will no longer climb down once settled in her favourite trees. Even in their night den, she likes to snooze on the highest tree branch of their enrichment. You can see her enjoying the forest together with Jelita and making her bear world fun! When its mealtime, Jelita and Cerah usually share their food well.​

Identifying Mark or trait: Cerah’s forehead is full of wrinkles and she has a beautiful sun patch that is sprinkled with light black dots.
