HELP US, SUPPORT US
Thank you, SK Gabungan Telupid, for visiting us yesterday. We are glad that they come from a distant location and chose to visit BSBCC for their school day-trip programs. They are given a guided tour to the observation platform to see the bear roaming in the forest enclosure of BSBCC. We hope they enjoyed their time here, gained some knowledge about sun bears, and spread our words to save the smallest bear species in the world.

We received four group visits in one day yesterday. These group visits are from SK Tanjong Aru, SK St. Mary Labuk, SK Sangau Kinabatangan, and SK Pulau Bum Bum Semporna. We are delighted that they chose to visit us for their school trip program. The groups are briefed on the safety rules by our Environmental Education Officers, and they are brought to the observation platform to see the sun bears roaming in the natural forest enclosures. Also, we conducted the "Bear Observation" activity with each group of schools, where they needed to observe what the bears were doing in the forest enclosures and relate it to the bears' role in the forest. We hope they had a great time here and gained some new knowledge about sun bears while helping us spread awareness by sharing their experiences with their friends and family. Thank you! We are happy to welcome teachers and students from SK Sentosa Jaya, Kinabatangan to our Centre today! BSBCC's Environmental Education Officer, Haniff gave them a tour around the sun bear observation area and conducted the sun bear explorer activity, where the students get to learn about sun bears through the activity book while observing the bears in the enclosure. Thanks SK Sentosa Jaya for visiting us, we hope to see you again next time! Today, BSBCC was visited by a total of 25 children from Tadika KEMAS Kg. Usaha Jaya, accompanied by their teachers and parents. Before they went to the observation platform, they were introduced to the sun bear and safety rules. While on the observation platform, the children were assigned to observe the forest surroundings and see the sun bears roaming in the forest enclosures. They seemed to be having a good time exploring the forest and seeing other wild animals. Hopefully the children will gain new knowledge about sun bears and help spread awareness among their friends and family. #bsbcc #schoolvisit #sunbear #conservation We are delighted to welcome the first group visit in 2023 from the preschool of SK Paris 3 today. There are 29 kindergarten students, accompanied by their teachers and parents. They were given an introduction to sun bears and safety rules, and later they were brought to the observation platforms to see the bears roaming in the forest enclosure. Each of them is given a worksheet activity, and they need to observe and spot the animals in the forest other than sun bears. They seemed to enjoy exploring the forest while doing their worksheet activity. Hopefully the children can gain new knowledge about sun bears and help us spread awareness to their friends and family. #bsbcc #schoolvisit #sunbear #conservation BSBCC received another visit from 42 kindergarten students, accompanying 4 teachers and parents of Tadika Kg. Gelam today. The students were first briefed on the safety rules before to the bear observation platforms. Guided tour was also given to the group with the help of information boards alongside our centre's boardwalk. The group seems to be very happy to be able to see sun bears in their forest enclosures and quite eager to learn about them too. Thanks again for visiting BSBCC, and hope to see you guys again! Today, we received a group visit from SK. Bambangan. We already reached out to this group of students at their school, SK Bambangan, during our outreach program on Wildlife Conservation Awareness and Education Programme, last October. We are glad that they decided to visit us to see our rescued sun bears roaming in the forest enclosures. This group consisted of 50 students and 11 teachers. As they had already been introduced to sun bears during the outreach program at their school, we conducted a "Bear Observation Activity" with the students. They were brought to the observation platform to observe what the bears were doing in the forest enclosures and relate it to their roles in the forest. We hope they had a great time here and gained some new knowledge about sun bears while helping us spread awareness by sharing their experiences with their friends and family. Thank you! Today, we received a group visit from SMK Pitas. We are honoured to receive this visit, as they came from a distant location just to experience the nature and wildlife. The group consisted of 24 students and 17 teachers. They were given an introduction to sun bears and the BSBCC's efforts at conserving them, followed by a guided tour to the observation platform to observe the rescued sun bears in the natural forest enclosures. We are delighted to welcome a group of kindergarten children from Tabika KEMAS Parlimen Batu Sapi to BSBCC. This group consisted of 67 children who were accompanied by their teachers and parents. They were given an introduction to sun bears, and later they were brought to the observation platforms to see the bears roaming in the forest enclosure.
