AH LUN

AGE : 13 Years Old

History: Arrived to Sepilok from Lok Kawi Wildlife Zoo on the 3rd of July 2010. Ah Lun was previously kept in a small cage for a very long time. She arrived on the same day as Julaini. They are the first bears to reside at the new bear house.
 
Personality: A provocative and lady boss bear! She will show her dominance towards her group of bears, especially when it comes to food and territory. She will chase Ah Bui and Rungus away! She is calm and reserved, but wary of her surroundings. Every morning when the guillotine door is opened, she does not hesitate to head out into the forest enclosure. Ah Lun seems to prefer discovering life in the forest together with Julaini, her closest pal. She will suckle on her front paw when she sees Julaini. They have the best time in the forest. Otherwise, she will go on her independent adventures. She will decide which tree to climb high up. Some of Ah Lun’s favourite activities include foraging for food, climbing her favourite trees, taking naps on the forest floor or in trees, and basking in the sun. She is well enough to return back to the wild where she belongs!

ADOPTION: Steven Moy and family are adopting Ah Lun in May 2020.
