RESCUE BEAR 41
AGE : 11 Years Old
MEANING OF NAME: Named after the primary school’s mini zoo she was rescued from.
HISTORY: She arrived at the BSBCC from Lok Kawi Wildlife Zoo on the July 22nd ,2014. Chin was rescued from Tawau district in the South Eastern of Sabah. Chin was kept at the primary school’s mini zoo for a very long time and was displayed illegally in a small metal cage. She was previously fed with fruit, bread and milk while she was kept at the school.
PERSONALITY: Chin is excellent at foraging for insects and invertebrates. She loves to practice her foraging skills and is slowly developing to be a more independent bear. Chin is finding more and more activities to enjoy every day! Chin loves rolling, rubbing or basking in the sun on logs, showing her beautiful yellow crescent chest mark! She is mischievous, and can be entertained very easily with just a simple enrichment like decayed wood and dry leaves. These can simply make her day. She loves to examine and tear enrichment into pieces, such as dead logs and coconuts, and is a big fan of ginger leaves! Chin’s best pal is Amaco, the oldest male bear. They get on really well and love to gentle wrestle together.
Chin is available for MY BEAR adoption.
